I've tried the different settings for the fan controls but they all are spinning at about 1000rpm when temps are mid-30C.Īny suggestions on how to get the fans to act properly where they only ramp up that high when temps start to get higher to help lessen the noise would be much appreciated. I do not have a fan controller but will get one if I need too, however would like to try and get this under control without doing that.

I do have them connected with splitters to the fan connectors on the board. Prior to setting a fan curve in BIOS they where all ramping up to about 1500rpms. All of my case fans are 4pins, specifially these fans and am having a hard time getting their speed under control. I am light usage at 38-45 C.Recently upgraded from a Gigabyte b350 to b450 Tomahawk. The wraith cooler works but it is not great at keeping the Ryzen 6 very cool - which is in turn causing the case fans to run at higher RPMs. Does that mean that the cpu cooler fan will ramp up/down to match the 500-1000 rpm based on the temp when it is between 20 and 40 C? I want to get the fan curves stabilized and working before I decide if I need to get better fans. So if I have 20 C for say 500 RPM and another at 40C for 1000 rpm. The 3 other fans are not PWN so I have to control them via temp versus volt. The CPU cooler is a PWM so I can do temp versus RPM. I am using the MSI b450 Tomahawk Max motherboard and I have looked at the fan controls there but they really aren't making sense to me.Īre there any good videos describing fan curve setups? I have watched one but they really didn't explain the relationship to temp versus fan speed. THey are ramping up/down alot even under not very heavy loads. I have a lot of noise from the fans in my case.
